Born and raised in New Jersey, Howard honed his photography skills in the photo lab at Newsweek
magazine where he worked for 23 years. He shot for the magazine in the early 80’s before returning
to the photo lab as manager in 1988 until he left the magazine in 1997 to pursue a freelance career.
Howard has traveled extensively and has shown his work in galleries from Brooklyn to Budapest.
He has won numerous awards and continues to photograph everything from toy soldiers to society events.
